Hybrid, because in many cases, my jobs are so complex and large-scale that, for one, they demand a complex skillset, and on the other hand, combine numerous fields of creation and know-how. In other words, I need to be able to think and work at the level of overarching concepts, as well as that of specific daily problems. But they are also hybrid in the sense that they are built from a number of smaller elements, bigger-smaller projects, and thus need the creation and management of complete teams. I have to move around the most diverse worlds and dimensions with familiarity and efficiency: I can freely move between countries and (sub-)cultures, as well as the non-profit and for-profit domains.

I have lived and worked on project basis for over twenty years. Whether a project lasts several years or just a few months, the one thing they have in common is that they are performance-driven, and my work can thus be quantified in some form. The end result is spectacular and tangible in many cases, which gives me particular joy. Major projects demand continuous top form. I have worked on several hundred successful projects over my career to date, always in a competitive environment. That extreme workload has given me the muscle, experience and perseverance to be successful both as a “sprinter and a long-distance runner”.
XXL
To me, the nicest tasks are always the most complex, biggest, toughest ones that demand the most work and involve the greatest risk, as these are also the ones that hold the promise of the best visibility, greatest success and, not lastly, the most development. Going beyond my limits is a part of who I am. Perhaps it is no coincidence that my professional career has had multiple XXL challenges.
